This is the view when I sit on Brittany's porch--which is that I did for the majority of the day yesterday. I got to work from home because my boss was in New York so I enjoyed the perfect weather.
TODAY is Valerie's big 22nd birthday and she has been my best friend for about 15 years now, which is INSANE. But I am so grateful for her and our friendship! I call her Joe because of our love for the song Cotton Eyed Joe that began one Wednesday night on a ride home from church when we were about 9..and I am not sure how it started--that's why I love her!
Some exciting things::
I got a LOVELY care package from my sister in the mail yesterday with candy, green tea, soaps and other little things. THANKS CALLIE!
In about 2 and a half weeks I am coming to Texas for Memorial Day!
I don't have to work at Starbucks tomorrow or anytime this weekend!
I am going to a screening of the new movie "Away We Go" tomorrow night. I stumbled upon this and I am so excited because after the screening there is a discussion with the stars, John Krasinski (JIM!) Maya Rudoplh (SNL) the director Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Revolutionary Road/Kate Winslet's husband) and Alexi Murdoch (musician that I really like!) I am SO excited!
I think I saw Leonardo DiCaprio at the Beverly Center (shopping center by my house) on Saturday and I either made awkward eye contact with him or a complete stranger--but I really think it was him.
Today when I was cutting my apple at work, my plastic fork split in half leaving a good piece INSIDE the apple which I couldn't remove so I had to eat around it until I got the blade out.
Exciting right?!
woo! well, that is all for now. I can't wait to see my family and friends in a few weeks!
